"Based on a tentative schedule, the meeting will be held in Baghdad, but the exact time will be announced later," ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said.

During his news conference with reporters, Hosseini denied U.S. allegations Iran supplied weaponry to Iraqi insurgents.

"As Iran has announced time and again, it strongly supports restoration of stability and security to Iraq," Hosseini said.

The spokesman also denied allegations China was selling Iran spare parts of U.S.-made F-14 fighter planes.
