Home torn apart in search for body

TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Florida's Temple Terrace Police Department has spent more than a week digging through the floor of a recently built home in search of Sandra Prince's body.

Investigators are looking for the remains of Prince, a Temple Terrace social services executive who had dated a builder of the house and disappeared about the time the house's slab was poured, the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times reported Monday.

Prince also made the builder the full beneficiary of her estate before her disappearance.

So 11 days ago police arrived at the house with a warrant and an excavation crew.

"The search warrant says they can continue as long as they need to, as long as it's an active search," said police spokesman Michael Dunn.

Afterward, they'll restore the house to its original condition, Dunn added.

House owner Timothy McLeod, estimated it's worth somewhere between $750,000 and $800,000.
