Parents of missing girl broker film deal

LONDON, Jan. 8 (UPI) -- The parents of missing British girl Madeleine McCann are brokering book, interview and movie deals to help pay for search costs.

Kate and Gerry McCann are negotiating with IMG, the world's largest entertainment agency, for film rights to the story of their 3-year-old who disappeared in May while the family vacationed in Portugal, London's The Daily News said.

The McCanns said they fear the $2.4 million they've raised from public donations for the search will soon run out, the paper said.
