BOSTON, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- A man en route to Florida was arrested at Logan International Airport in Boston after screeners found a loaded pistol in his carry-on luggage.
The Transportation Security Administration said the man tried to take a loaded 9mm Glock pistol through the JetBlue gates for a flight to Fort Lauderdale.

TSA spokeswoman Ann Davis said the weapon was found in the man's carry-on luggage by TSA screeners, the Boston Globe reported Monday.
"In today's security environment, it is beyond stupid to think that you can pass through a security checkpoint with a loaded gun,'' she added.
The unnamed man is to be arraigned Tuesday in East Boston District Court
