At least 5 dead in Egypt building collapse

ALEXANDRIA, Egypt, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- At least five people died and one woman was pulled alive from the rubble of a 12-story building that collapsed Monday in Alexandria, Egypt.

The Middle East News Agency reported buildings on either side of the collapsed structure suffered structural damage and were evacuated. The collapse occurred as construction workers were doing repair work on the first floor and the building tilted and collapsed, MENA quoted Alexandria Gov. Adel Labib as saying, the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA reported.
