GOP guru Rollins joins Huckabee campaign

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee has secured GOP insider Ed Rollins as national chairman of the former Arkansas governor's campaign.

Rollins was the campaign manager behind Ronald Reagan's landslide re-election in 1984. Rollins, who has struggled with recent campaigns, still is regarded as a top-drawer Republican consultant, The Hill reported Friday.

Huckabee has been picking up steam in recent polls in early primary and caucus states.
