BOLINGBROOK, Ill., Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Former suburban Chicago police Sgt. Drew Peterson, whose fourth wife has been missing for three weeks, says he's not a bad guy.
Peterson appeared Tuesday on ABC's "Good Morning, America," trying to convince the public his missing wife, Stacy, ran off with another man and is just fine.
"Make yourself known. Make yourself seen. Come out publicly. That's it. Let this be over," Peterson said. It was the second consecutive day Peterson took to the airwaves. Monday, he appeared on NBC's "Today," but let his lawyer do the talking.
Peterson described himself as "a good person" who does "good things."
The former Bolingbrook, Ill., policeman said his marriage to Stacy, more than 30 years his junior, was volatile and blamed her menstrual cycle for their problems.
"Then, when the cycle passed, she was OK and we were in love again and happy," he alleged.
He also denied allegations he threatened to kill any of his first three wives and make it look like an accident. Authorities are re-investigating the death of his third wife, whose death initially was ruled an accident.
