Iranian envoy touts 'peaceful' nuke plan

TEHRAN, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- A top Iranian envoy said his country was willing to prove to the world its nuclear ambitions are peaceful.

"Iran's nuclear energy quest is solely for electricity generation, not a front for bomb making as the U.S. claims and it is serious about going the extra mile to overcome mistrust," said Mohsen Pak Ayeen, Iran's ambassador to Thailand.
