BEIJING, Oct. 21 (UPI) -- The Communist Party of China ended its 17th National Congress Sunday with the election of a new central committee.
Hu Jintao, Wu Bangguo, Wen Jiabao, Jia Qinglin and Li Changchun were elected to the party's top decision-making body, China's official news agency, Xinhua, reported.

The central committee will convene Monday to elect its general secretary and members of the party's standing committee, Xinhua reported.
