WASHINGTON, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- U.S. President George Bush led the administration's delegation Tuesday to a remembrance service at a Washington church for Sept. 11, 2001, attack victims.
The service at St. John's Episcopal Church included singing of hymns and several readings, the White House press pool reported.
The Rev. Luis Leon, rector of St. John's, began his 14-minute sermon by noting remembering the terrorist attacks on the United States six years ago offered Americans a chance "to remember a day that was so difficult and yet, at the same time, to move on with our lives."
Other White House officials attending the morning service included Vice President Dick Cheney and his wife; Press Secretary Tony Snow, Chief of Staff Josh Bolten and national security adviser Stephen Hadley.
