Break-in at Mitt Romney's HQ in Boston

BOSTON, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- A television and eight laptops have been stolen from Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s headquarters in Boston.

Spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom said there was a "forced entry" into the three-story building overnight and several computers and a television were stolen, reported the Boston Globe.

Fehrnstrom added that the break-in, which either occurred late Sunday or early Monday, did not appear to be politically motivated.

"By all appearances this is a routine burglary," said the spokesman. "There were a number of items that were left untouched -- files and the like."

He declined to describe how the burglars got into the building, but a Boston police official said entry was made through a third floor window and about $20,000 worth of equipment was stolen.

A Crime Scene Unit and detectives from District A-1 are looking into the matter.
