Jerusalem guard kills Palestinian

JERUSALEM, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- A Jerusalem yeshiva security guard killed a Palestinian man who grabbed another guard’s gun and shot him, Ynetnews reported Friday

Ten other people were wounded during the incident, during which the guard chased the man, described as about 18, through the streets of Jerusalem’s Old City.

"This was clearly a nationalistic incident. The terrorist wished to carry out an attack, and that was why he snatched one of the guards' weapons. The guards acted in an exemplary manner, as is required," said Dudi Cohen, chief of the Israeli Police.

The man grabbed a gun from a guard at the Ateret Kahanin yeshiva, which is across the street from the Temple Mount in the Old City.
