Warrichaiet was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday afternoon.

His sister, Donna Gutowski, told the newspaper her brother probably panicked. She said that he suffers from mental illness and was anxious Sunday because he was to start a new job in a grocery store.

Gutowski said that her brother called her early Monday and said, "Now I really did it. I killed somebody. I put the body in the car."

She said that when she tried to call him back his phone was off the hook.

Tyrone Ware was killed by the impact when he was struck. The other victim, Joann Carroll, was hospitalized with injuries described as life-threatening.
