Mexican opposition criticizes oil policy

MEXICO CITY, July 2 (UPI) -- A leading opponent of Mexican President Felipe Calderon criticized the leader's oil policy and said there would be consequences at an upcoming rally.

Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said he would rally thousands of opponents of Calderon if the president tried to open up Mexico's oil sector to private investment, El Universal reported Monday.
