NEW HAVEN, Conn., June 27 (UPI) -- New Haven, Conn., authorities have declined to file charges against a police officer who accidentally shot his 18-year-old daughter.
Officer Eric Scott reportedly mistakenly thought the girl, who had sneaked out of the house earlier that night, was an intruder and opened fire, WTNH-TV, New Haven, Conn., reported Wednesday.
The daughter, who was shot in the knee, has recovered from her injuries.
