Portuguese police get another tip on girl

LISBON, Portugal, June 13 (UPI) -- Portuguese authorities Wednesday followed up a tip that a missing British girl's body was buried under some rocks.

Police, however, had yet to announce whether they found anything in the location described in a letter reportedly sent by a Dutch source about Madeleine McCann, Diaro de Noticias reported online.

Last week, British authorities said they received a reliable phone call from a source claiming to have information about the child's whereabouts.

The call regarding the 4-year-old girl was said to have originated in Argentina.

McCann was reported missing May 4 from the Ocean Club in Praia da Luz. Portuguese detectives searched the complex and brought in dogs to track her scent.

Her parents have decided to remain in Portugal while the search continues.
