Aussies may fight against Chinese piracy

SYDNEY, April 11 (UPI) -- Australia may join the United States in the fight against China over piracy of intellectual property.

Australian Trade Minister Warren Truss said his country could become party to the case against Beijing, which has been brought before the World Trade Organization.

He told the Australian Broadcasting Corp. that "the United States clearly is becoming more aggressive in its trading relationship with China over it's huge trading deficit."

Truss, who visits Beijing next week to lead an Economic Cooperation Dialogue, will also meet with Chinese trade officials.

He said he will again call on China to remove international currency controls and float its currency.
