FREDERICK, Md., March 27 (UPI) -- Police in Maryland were looking for the mother of four children found dead in their home with their father, who had apparently committed suicide.
Pedro Rodriguez, 28, apparently hanged himself in the family's Frederick, Md., condominium, but there was no apparent cause of death for three girls, ages 9, 4 and 1 and 3-year-old boy, police told The Baltimore Sun. Police said they didn't consider their mother, Deysi M. Benitez, 25, a suspect but said they feared for her safety.
Benitez' sister and her co-workers told police they have not seen her in about a week, the Sun reported.
Police discovered the bodies Monday after being contacted by officials at the school attended by two of the girls who were concerned that they'd been absent for several days.
