President's father faints on golf course

PALM SPRINGS, Calif., March 12 (UPI) -- Former President George H.W. Bush was pronounced "back to 100 percent" Monday after fainting on a California golf course in 93-degree weather.

The 82-year-old Bush was treated for dehydration at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage after fainting while golfing with friends Sunday afternoon. He was released from the hospital Monday morning and was expected to give a scheduled speech Monday night in Los Angeles, CNN reported.
