Previously, 18 wanted activists surrendered to Israeli Defense Forces at the Palestinian military intelligence headquarters in Ramallah, YNetNews reported. The arrests Tuesday night occurred after IDF soldiers encircled a building in the compound and demanded that Fatah and al-Aqsa Brigades operatives who are wanted in Israel surrender. The Israeli soldiers threatened to storm the building unless the suspects came out.

A Palestinian security source told YNetNews those arrested were thought to include senior officials, including some alleged to have been involved in planning and executing terror attacks against Israel.
