MULTAN, Pakistan, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Police in Pakistan say three apparent suicide bombers died Saturday in an explosion in the province of Punjab.
Police sources told Pakistan's GEO TV three people were carrying a bomb on a bicycle when it exploded. The BBC said the bomb exploded after hitting a bump in the road on the outskirts of Chichawatni, about 75 miles north of Multan.
GEO TV reported the three were members of an outlawed religious group, but it did not reveal its name.
Suicide bombers have struck Pakistan several times in recent weeks and there was speculation Saturday's bombers were headed to a large cattle market.
