NEW YORK, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Fabian Basabe, the heir to an Ecuadorian fortune, was arrested in New York this week for alleged drunken driving and running a red light.
Basabe was pulled over early Wednesday in Manhattan as he tooled along in his Hummer near Central Park and pleaded innocent at his arraignment later in the day, the New York Daily News said Saturday.

Basabe, 28, made the celebrity list in the United States after he was caught on camera doing what the Daily News described as "dirty dancing" with President Bush's daughter, Barbara.
Basabe's lawyer told the newspaper that the charges were the product of "bumbling officers" who used faulty equipment to test his client's blood-alcohol levels.
