Series of nursing home deaths probed

CHICAGO, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- An investigation into a series of deaths at an Illinois nursing home could lead to as many as five exhumations, officials said.

Authorities are looking into reports that a nurse administered lethal doses of morphine to certain patients at the Woodstock Residence, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Alissa Nataupsky, Woodstock administrator, confirmed that the investigation involves her 115-bed facility.
