Foley reportedly in treatment in Arizona

NEW YORK, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Attorneys for former U.S. Rep. Mark Foley say the Florida Republican is an inpatient at an Arizona treatment center.

ABC News says Foley's lawyers confirmed that Foley checked himself into the Sierra Tucson Treatment Center Oct. 1, two days after he resigned from Congress.

The center provides treatment for drug and alcohol abuse, as well as psychiatric issues including "Sexual Addiction/Compulsivity," ABC News said.

ABC said a 30-day inpatient program costs about $30,000.

Foley resigned from Congress in September after news reports that he sent sexually explicit instant messages to two former pages who were still in high school, ABC News said.
