Eagles expect Westbrook to play Sunday

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Westbrook is expected to play Sunday against the New York Giants.

Eagles Coach Andy Reid said that knee inflammation caused Westbrook to leave practice early Thursday and stay away from practice Friday, the Delaware News Journal reported. But Reid said he expects Westbrook to be fit in time to face the Giants.

Ryan Moats, the second-year running back, will fill the gap if Westbrook is unable to play, Reid said.
