Peace activist moves to Bush ranch town

CRAWFORD, Texas, July 28 (UPI) -- Peace activist Cindy Sheehan, whose son died in the Iraq war, reportedly plans to move to Crawford, Texas, the site of U.S. President George Bush's ranch.

The Waco (Texas) Tribune reports Sheehan, who has expressed her liking for Crawford in the past, has purchased five acres along State Highway 317 in the Central Texas town, several miles west from Bush's ranch. The Tribune said as per county records, the property was acquired through a third party.

On her Web site, Sheehan was says she's already planning to mount next month's war protest on the property.

"Well, there's not much we can do about it," said one Crawford resident. "I guess she has the right to buy (property) here."

Sheehan's peace Camp Casey is named for her 24-year-old son who was killed in Iraq in 2004.
