El Paso charity sues former president

EL PASO, Texas, July 5 (UPI) -- Ready One Industries, a nonprofit based in El Paso, Texas, has filed suit against its former president for more than $30 million.

The company formerly known as National Center for Employment of the Disabled, filed suit after being investigated by the U.S. Senate, the FBI, and two regulatory agencies. The suit claims former President Bob Jones, who has been paid $24 million in compensation since 2003, misused millions of dollars in company funds for non-company expenses, the El Paso Times reported Wednesday.

Jones' attorney Chad Muller said he had not seen the suit, but he plans to contest the charges.

"In the past, Mr. Jones and I have been fully cooperative with NCED, with its attorney and have done everything possible to resolve all disputes with NCED," he said. "This is the first time any allegation has been made of fraud.

"It's not based on any fact that I'm aware of, and it will be contested

to the fullest degree."
