BELGRADE, Serbia, March 14 (UPI) -- Marko Milosevic, who arrived Tuesday in The Hague to claim his father's body, claims the former Yugoslav leader was killed.
Slobodan Milosevic, in The Hague facing war crimes charges before an international tribunal, was found dead in his jail cell Saturday. An autopsy by Dutch doctors determined he died of a heart attack.
But Marko Milosevic, who has been living with his mother in exile in Moscow, claimed: "He got killed, he didn't die. He got killed. There is a murder," CNN reported.
In Belgrade, a court accepted a $17,900 bail so Mira Markovic, the wife of Slobodan Milosevic, will not be arrested when she travels to the Serbian capital for her husband's funeral, which is expected to be Thursday or Friday.
However, an arrest warrant for Mira Markovic remains in power in case she does not appear before a Belgrade court when asked by the authorities. An indictment charged her with corruption charges but she fled Belgrade early in 2003.
On Tuesday the U.N. war crimes tribunal in The Hague formally closed the 4-year-old trial of Milosevic, who had been accused of genocide and war crimes in Kosovo, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
