$660,000 for information on terrorists

BEIRUT, Lebanon, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- The Lebanese Interior Ministry announced it allocated $665,000 for information leading to suspects in attacks in country in recent months.

A ministry statement Wednesday said a reward of 1 billion Lebanese pounds will be given in return for "valuable and serious information" in finding those behind terrorist activities and bombings in Lebanon since last October.

Fourteen explosions rocked Lebanon since Oct. 1, 2004, when Communications Minister Marwan Hamadeh escaped an assassination attempt in a car bomb. Among the terrorist attacks is the blast that killed former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri last Feb. 14.
