Italy porn star case reopened

ROME, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- The case of the death of Italy's famous porn actress has been reopened to determine if it was linked to hide her relations to a top politician.

The official version of the incident was that Moana Pozzi died of liver cancer 11 years ago in France at the age of 33.

But Rome prosecutor Attilio Pisani says there were "many flaws and inconsistencies" in that version, the Times of London reports.

He decided to reopen the case with the recent publication of Pozzi's biography and other reports which referred to her relationships with famous men.

Il Giornale, a newspaper owned by the family of Italy's Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, said Pozzi had many "secret liaisons with top politicians, actors, sportsmen and businessmen."
