TEHRAN, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Iran said Sunday its foreign policy priorities are international peace, security and justice.
In his first news conference, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said in Tehran his country intended to "balance our relations with world countries."
The official Islamic Republic News Agency quoted the minister as saying Tehran will "follow the proper detente policy with a broad-based outlook to remove grounds for threat and intimidation in international relations."
Mottaki also said Iran would continue its campaign against terrorism and discrimination, adding that "international solutions and materialization of globalization require the participation of all world countries."
He said Iran's long-term policy consisted of "mutual respect and non-interference in the domestic affairs of others."
