Iman described suspects as 'simpletons'

LODI, Calif., July 22 (UPI) -- Two men accused of lying about their involvement in Pakistani terrorist training camps may try to block the deportation of a California imam.

Attorneys for Umer Hayat and his son, Hamid, of Lodi, Calif., said the pair might file a motion to keep Muhammed Adil Khan in the United States as a material witness, the Sacramento Bee reported Friday. Adil Khan is described in FBI documents as the brains behind terrorist activities in Lodi.
