Anti-abortion group converges on Colorado

DENVER, July 16 (UPI) -- A national anti-abortion group began a week of events condemning abortion in Colorado Saturday, the Rocky Mountain News reported.

Operation Save America calls Colorado "the ground zero of the abortion holocaust" and has planned a rally at the state capital, seminars and protests outside abortion clinics.

Colorado Right to Life expects over 200 people from around the country to come.

Operation Save America says it takes up the anti-abortion cause "in the name of Jesus Christ" and promotes a pamphlet comparing abortion, Islam and homosexuality.

Abortion rights advocates are asking supporters not to confront the anti-abortion activists.
