Paraguay: Lula defends Mercosur

ASUNCION, Paraguay, June 20 (UPI) -- Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva Monday defended the regional trading bloc Mercosur amid ongoing criticism.

Speaking at a meeting of Mercosur member nations (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay) Lula stressed the need to improve their common ties.
