SANAA, Yemen, April 21 (UPI) -- A group of European tourists was rescued unharmed from a sinking yacht off the Yemeni coast, a maritime source said Thursday.

The yacht called Katarina M capsized off the coast of Hadidah in western Yemen with 12 European tourists and crew members on board, including women," the source said.

The boat was en route to the Yemeni island of Badih when it capsized. It was towed to the nearby port of al-Salif for repair.

The source said a boat owned by the U.S. oil company Hunt was passing in the area when it spotted the capsizing boat and rescued its occupants.
