Israeli arrests continue in the West Bank

GAZA, April 13 (UPI) -- Palestinian security sources accused the Israeli army Wednesday of storming parts of the West Bank city of Nablus and detaining at least three people.

The unidentified sources said Israeli soldiers raided several houses, searched the homes and forced people onto the streets, adding the soldiers arrested three Palestinians who the army said were wanted by authorities.

The raids in the Balata refugee camp near Nablus were reportedly accompanied by intensive gunfire used to allow soldiers to get into the area.

Palestinian militants Wednesday fired more homemade mortar shells at Israeli army outposts in eastern Gaza Strip.

The armed Wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, known as Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, claimed responsibility for the attack.
