HAT YAI, Thailand, April 3 (UPI) -- At least one person was killed and 30 wounded when two bombs exploded in the city of Hat Yai, Thailand, Sunday.

One bomb went off at the airport and, minutes later, a second bomb exploded in a supermarket, the Thai news agency reported.

Thailand's southern districts have suffered violence since January of last year. Many of the attacks have been blamed on Islamic separatists, the BBC reported.
