Hamas graduates 100 fighters

GAZA, April 1 (UPI) -- Hundreds of armed militants gathered in Gaza Friday for the graduation of 100 fighters from a military training session.

Members of Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, took part in the graduation ceremony shouting "Allah Akbar" or God is Great.

The graduates performed military exercises simulating battles.

Cmdr. Abu Baker said the group was taking advantage of the relative calm in the area to train its fighters to confront any possible Israeli aggression.

"We fear that the enemy might turn against us despite the undeclared truce, but we will be ready to confront any possible attack," Abu Baker said.
