BUENOS AIRES, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Argentina completed a restructuring Friday of its massive foreign debt, La Nacion newspaper reported in its online edition.
Economic officials in the South American county were asking holders of more than $100 billion to accept one-third payment on their investment.

Argentina defaulted on its debt three years ago following a decade of recession. The country's economic crisis resulted in a political crisis that prompted then-President Fernando de la Rua to resign.
