Israeli fire wounds Gaza schoolchildren

GAZA, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Seven Palestinian children were injured Sunday when an Israeli army tank fired two shells near an elementary school in southern Gaza.

Witnesses said the Israeli tank stationed near the settlement of Naveh Dekalim fired two shells after Al Qassam Brigades, the Hamas movement's armed wing, fired several homemade rockets and two motor shells at several Jewish settlements.
