FBI probes Wisconsin election vandalism

WASHINGTON, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- The FBI reportedly is investigating anti-Republican Election Day vandalism in Wisconsin.

Citing published reports, The Hotline said Friday the FBI is conducting its own inquiry into the Nov. 2 "slashing of tires on 20 vans and cars" the Republicans had rented to transport Milwaukee voters to the polls.

Police have arrested "at least five people" -- including the 25-year-old son of U.S. Rep.-elect Gwen Moore, a Milwaukee Democrat -- on suspicion of felony criminal damage to property. All five have been released and prosecutors have not yet filed formal charges.

Investigators reportedly also plan to talk to Michael Pratt, the son of ex-Acting Milwaukee Mayor Marvin Pratt.
