Israel kills six Palestinians

GAZA, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- The Israeli army Saturday killed six Palestinian militants in Gaza and the West Bank, including a member of the armed wing of Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades.

A statement by al-Qassam Brigades said the 22-year-old man was killed while on a "mission east of Gaza City."

Palestinian medics and witnesses said that earlier Saturday two militants, members of Saraya al Quds, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, were killed as they tried to carry out an attack on a Jewish settlement in southern Gaza

Al-Quds Brigades told UPI two gunmen had infiltrated a military outpost near the settlement of Naveh Dakalim, west of Khan Younis, and then clashed with Israeli troops before being killed in an air strike.

In the West Bank city of Qalqilya, two Palestinians were killed and one was seriously injured in a car bombing that some claimed was an assassination operation carried out by the Israeli army.

In Jenin, Palestinian medics said a 14-year-old Palestinian boy was fatally shot Israeli troops when soldiers opened fire at a group of children throwing stones at the soldiers.
