Laura Bush turns 58; gets puppy

WASHINGTON, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- First lady Laura Bush turned 58 Thursday and the president was giving her a Scottish terrier puppy as a present, the White House said.

The puppy, born Oct. 28, has been named Miss Beazley, after a dinosaur in a children's book, and would be at the White House before Christmas.

McClellan said Mrs. Bush and daughters Jenna and Barbara came up with the name.

The dog's father is the half-brother of Barney, the current canine resident of the White House.
