'Missing Link in the Equation of Wellness'

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Whole Foods Market will sell organic clothes, as well as organic foods, at a new food store in downtown Austin, Texas, the American-Statesman said Wednesday.

The apparel, made by Under the Canopy, will include hemp shirts and fleece made from recycled soda bottles.

The 80,000-square-foot outlet will open next year and be Whole Foods' first venture into clothing sales.

Marci Zaroff, 36, started Under the Canopy in 1995 "to handle the missing link in the equation of wellness.

"Austin is a great city," she said. "People are open-minded and liberal and stylish and young and connected."

Like Whole Foods, Under the Canopy has Hollywood celebrities such as Alicia Silverstone and Pierce Brosnan supporting the business.
