Man charged in child's death, body missing

SPOTSYLVANIA, Va., Oct. 14 (UPI) -- A 45-year-old man from Spotsylvania, Va., has been charged with killing his girlfriend's 3-year-old son, but police have yet to find a body.

Herman Lee Black allegedly misled police about the death of Tyreek Davis for two weeks, WTOP Radio, Washington, D.C., reported Thursday.

Black faces a second-degree murder charge in the boy's death, which was believed to have been accidental, Sheriff Howard Smith told a Thursday news conference. Smith said he is certain the boy is dead and the search for his body continued.

Black reported the boy missing and told police two different stories before changing his account a third time Wednesday.
