OSLO, Norway, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Two masked robbers threatened staff with a gun Sunday and stole the Edvard Munch painting, "The Scream," from the Munch Museum in Oslo, Norway.
The BBC reported the two robbers also stole another painting, "Madonna" and then escaped to a waiting car as stunned museum visitors watched in silence.

The museum was full of people when the thieves pulled the two paintings from the walls of the gallery, according to Munch Museum spokesman Jorunn Christofferson.
The painting. "The Scream," was stolen once before 10 years ago, but was recovered within three months.
