Bush taps family for Olympics delegation

WASHINGTON, July 15 (UPI) -- President George W. Bush Thursday named his father to lead the U.S. presidential delegation to the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.

He also named his mother, Barbara, and two daughters -- Barbara and Jenna -- to the delegation as well as former tennis great Chris Evert, the White House announced.

Others included in the group are Thomas Miller, the U.S. ambassador to Greece; Alex Spanos, the owner of the San Diego Chargers; and his wife, Faye Spanos.

The Olympics, taking place amid fears of possible terrorist attack, begin Aug. 13.
