OLD BRIDGE, N.J., July 12 (UPI) -- A retired postal worker from Old Bridge, N.J., died after his sister-in-law allegedly gave him a cocktail laced with antifreeze, state police said.
Maryann Neabor, a certified emergency medical technician in Shamong Township, N.J., has been charged with killing Jonathan Neabor, 54, Newsday reported Monday.
The lethal cocktail she allegedly served him included pineapple juice, maraschino cherries and antifreeze, police said.
Neabor was single and had no children, but he did have some investments, so a motive for the killing may be financial gain, police said.
The husband of the accused was home during his brother's visit and death on Friday, but had not been implicated in the slaying, said N.J. state trooper Stephen Jones.
