SEAL BEACH, Calif., July 7 (UPI) -- One person was believed killed Wednesday when a small plane crashed into a house near the Southern California coast.
The incident occurred in Seal Beach where the single-engine plane reportedly clipped the roof of one home and plowed into another before catching fire.

The Orange County Register said the aircraft was a home-built Harmon Rocket registered to a Rancho Palos Verdes man who took off from Torrance on a flight to Chino.
There was no immediate official word on injuries, although television reports said it appeared the pilot had been killed.
