The prosecutor general's office said the raid was part of an investigation into tax evasion and fraud.

The raid follows Yukos' warning that it is on the brink of ruin after tax authorities froze its accounts and threatened to seize its assets.

The company's major shareholder, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, is on trial on charges of fraud and tax evasion. The trial of the oil billionaire was scheduled to restart July 12.
